Together with the help of the Mages, the Herald Of Andraste sets of to close the Breach, and succeeds. The citizens of Haven celebrate while the members of the Inquisition plan there next strategy. When suddenly a massive force launches an assault on Haven, this army is lead by the Elder One.

Prelude to War

The mages that occupy Redcliffe Castle invite the Herald Of Andraste to negotiate a possible alliance. The Magistrate's son reveals that he's been dealing with a dangerous cult, and that he's not to be trusted. The negotiations take a terrible turn, and our Herald gets cast into a dark future after being hit with a spell from the Magistrate.

Religion And Politics

The Herald Of Andraste bares witness to the birth of the Inquisition. Some approve, others disapprove, others don't know what to think. Only one thing is for certain, the realm is in disarray and it's up to the Herald Of Andraste to fix it.

The Herald Of Andraste Is Born

During a peace conference orchestrated by Divine Justinia, an explosion destroys the Conclave, killing the Divine along with many mages, Chantry clerics and Templars. The explosion creates the Breach, a massive hole in the Veil, the magical boundary between the physical world and the spirit world (the fade), as well as many smaller rifts.

The only survivor is a Woman named "Heart" who emerges a rift with a mark on her hand capable of closing rifts, but has no memory of what happened.
